Holiday time…

I’m going away for a while, planning to spend a week or so in the bottom left hand corner of Wales – the Pembroke coast. I need the break! As a result of my absence I’ve had to cancel participation in a gig on June 4th, and I can’t make the Matlock Storytelling Cafe on the 3rd, or the playwriting class on the 6th, or the literature group meeting on the 7th, or my creative writing class on the 9th. But I’m sure they’ll all manage well enough without me.

But running through this list of cancellations indicates how busy my life has become!

I hope to return by the evening of Friday 10th. At least, I’d better, because I have a six-hour summer school on the subject of Peak District Folktales to deliver to the Glossop Guild on Saturday 11th. On Sunday 12th I’ll have to take my disabled friend back home to Edinburgh, which will mean missing the storytelling in Buxton, but I’ll drive home again on the 13th – in time for my storytelling gig on Tuesday 14th. And from the following Tuesday (21st) until the Saturday of that week (25th) we have the Glossop Music Festival, which I’ll be attending as an audience member and also helping out (being secretary I have to do something to assist!) My next storytelling workshop in Matlock will be on Sunday 26th.

I’ll ask Dana to post the list of my further commitments after that date up to the end of July. But if I’m not too exhausted I should be able to post another blog here on June 15th or shortly afterwards… maybe with stories about the trip to Wales.
